Hello Everyone:

This is the School/Community SIP Committee for the SIP plan for Martin GT Magnet Middle.   During the initial meeting on Wednesday, October 28th, the committee decided that it would create new Goals that would emcompass current and/or revamped Key Processes. Please see the minutes from this meeting, attached below.  The new goals, and subcommittees for those goals are as follows:

Next Steps for each committee:

ALL MEMBERS HAVE NOW CHOSEN SUBCOMMITTEES!  YEAH!

  1. All members should meet with their committees to start formulation of their goals and key processes.  Evidence of work should show in this wiki by November 23rd, which is the next SIP whole committee meeting (NOT  this group's meeting!).

Each Subcommittee/School Goal has a page in which to work.  Each page will also have its own folder, listed in the Navigator area to the right.  Please reserve this front page.  It will be used for general announcements to the entire School/Community committee.

Update 11/4/09-Next Step item #3 from above-

I have had some committee members ask me how things will now procede.  My answer has been that the members of the School Improvement Leadership Team (whole committee-those who represent the staff on the School Improvement Team) will be the ones to generate meetings-physical, virtual, or both, to begin/continue the conversation of how we craft this SIP document from our particular areas.  We should then be working in our own folders.  So, the folks generating should be: Alex and Jeff - Staff Climate subcommittee, Wanda -Student Climate Subcommittee, and Lisa -Magnet Subcommittee.  Hopefully this makes sense.  We have two and a half weeks at this point to generate some work that these particular folks will bring back to the SIT.
